Michael Janzen
MSW Student/Intern
Michael Janzen is the newest student therapist at Friesen Counseling. He is completing his Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University and has undergraduate degrees from Tabor College in Social Work and Psychology. Passionate about helping clients find balance in their lives through a strengths-based, client-focused approach, Michael has specific interests in depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, trauma, and family or relational challenges.
“I aim to help clients achieve balance in their lives using a strengths-based, client-focused approach. I will work collaboratively with my clients, applying interventions to adapt and grow in response to the evolving challenges life presents.”
Michael is passionate about sports and the outdoors. He enjoys seeking new adventures, exploring remote places, and immersing himself in nature. “Pictures don’t do nature justice; you have to experience it firsthand!”
Michael is currently offering therapeutic services to the community for $25 per session for people with and without insurance. He is looking for couples, families, and individuals and has immediate availability.
